Home Learning Links

Here you will find many useful links and advice on how to support your child during school closures. This will be updated with new links, additional work and suggested activities your children can be doing. All of these links are useful but use the ones you are most comfortable with navigating. Remember: Your best is good enough.

Whole school links

MyOn – A reading platform for children to explore and find new books to read and enjoy. There is a quiz at the end of each book to help your child with comprehension and language skills.

Times Table Rock Stars – Allow your children at least 5 minutes a day to complete their daily tasks to improve their multiplication knowledge.

Top Marks – A fantastic website with many free activities to develop your child’s knowledge and understanding of key parts of the curriculum.

Bitesize Daily – This website gives you additional home learning opportunities where you can choose your year group and do a daily lesson – completely free!

World of Books – Currently offering free access to over 3000 books to read.

Twinkl – type in PARENTSTWINKLHELPS you will receive 1 month free. Has mountains of resources to support your child with different difficulty levels available (one star = easier up to three stars = trickier)

Khan Academy Has maths and computing resources (it is American but material is applicable to UK)

National Geographic for Kids – a range of activities and information to support their learning and understanding of the world.

Oxford Owl for home – Free ebooks, maths and English activities and information for children of all ages.

Mystery Science – Free science lessons.

DK Find Out More – Many different activities to explore and learn.

IXL – Maths and English activities for all ages.

EYFS & Key Stage 1

Although these links are predominantly for EYFS and Key Stage 1, any one can access them.

Phonics Play – Free phonics games using the log in information on the home page.

Numbots – Giving your child the opportunity to practise key number skills (you should have been given a log in, if not contact your class teacher).

BBC Learning Zone (KS1) Different topics across all subjects. Includes videos and quizzes.

CBeebies Radio – Lots of educational stories and activities.

The Imagination Tree – Creative art for younger children.

Key Stage 2

Scratch Programming – Your child can use this website to create their own games and work on their computer programming skills introduced in school.

Blockly – another place to practise programming skills

BBC Learning Zone (KS2) Different topics across all subjects allowing independent learning. Also includes videos and quizzes.
